Ed is the President of PCA Retirement & Benefits. He joined RBI in March 2015 and served as a Financial Planner until the board elected him as the new President in November 2019. Ed is a Teaching Elder in the Georgia Foothills Presbytery. Prior to joining the staff of RBI Ed planted and served as Pastor of Christ the King Presbyterian Church in Roanoke, VA for nine years. Prior to serving in Roanoke, Ed served as a Campus Minister for Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at the University of Washington for eight years after graduating from Covenant Theological Seminary. Ed is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). He also visits presbyteries, churches, schools and seminaries for individual counseling and product presentation. Ed is married to Stefanie and they have four children. In his free time, Ed enjoys running, swimming, going on dates with Stefanie and hanging out with his family.
Director of Retirement Readiness & Data/Technology
Don is the Director of Retirement Readiness & Data/Technology and joined PCA Retirement & Benefits in 2017 as a Financial Planning Advisor. Don continues to enjoy the privilege of serving our churches, organizations, pastors and ministry staff as he leads the Retirement Readiness team and is now providing oversight to RBI’s efforts to enhance our systems and processes for the benefit of our clients. Don is a Teaching Elder in the Georgia Foothills Presbytery and serves as its Stated Clerk. Prior to joining RBI, he was Senior Pastor and church planter of Resurrection Presbyterian Church in Athens, Georgia and, before that, he was Associate Pastor at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Athens, Georgia. Prior to ordination, Don worked in the software industry holding a variety of positions in software development, product management and software sales. Don is a graduate of Virginia Tech (BS, Computer Science) and Westminster Theological Seminary (MDiv) in Philadelphia. Don is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) and is presently working towards his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. Don is married to Jenny, they have four adult children. He enjoys photography and cycling in his free time.
Senior Financial Planning Advisor
Dave is the Senior Financial Planning Advisor for PCA Retirement & Benefits, beginning his service in October, 2011. He is a Teaching Elder in the Gulf Coast Presbytery and has served several congregations. Dave is a graduate of the University of Georgia (BA), Auburn University (MBA), Reformed Theological Seminary (MDIV), a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), and served as a member of the RBI Board of Directors from 2001-2005. Prior to ordination, Dave worked as a Financial Analyst with Mutual of New York (MONY) as a Financial Planner with Ron Blue & Co., and as an Adjunct Instructor at Belhaven College. Dave’s primary responsibility is to provide pastors, plan participants, and churches with retirement, investment, insurance, and general financial planning advice and guidance. He also visits presbyteries, churches, schools and seminaries for individual counseling and product presentations. David and his family worship at Restoration Presbyterian Church.
Andrew is a staff accountant for PCA Retirement & Benefits. He has a professional background in accounting and tax services, both to individuals and privately held businesses. Throughout his career, Andrew has been relied on to travel and work alongside clients at their homes or places of business. Currently, Andrew is working towards becoming a licensed CPA. His passion for learning motivates him to help and teach others. Andrew also regularly attends local churches, as he seeks a new church home upon his recent move from Virginia.
Gary is PCA Retirement & Benefit’s (RBI) Investment Specialist and is the former President of RBI. He is responsible for the investment oversight of the PCA Retirement Plan. Prior to joining RBI in August of 2006, Gary had retired as President and Chief Investment Officer from Kennedy Capital Management, Inc., an institutional investment manager of small and mid cap equity securities with $3.6 billion under management at the time of his departure. Previously, Gary was the Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for the Commerce Trust Company in St. Louis, MO. Gary is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. He served on the RBI Board for 10 years and is a member of Intown Community Church in Atlanta. Gary is married to Holly and they have three children. Gary enjoys spending time traveling with Holly and playing golf.
Director of Business Operations
Heather serves as the Director of Business Operations at RBI. She has worked in several different industries to obtain 25 years of administrative and operations experience. Heather is married to Tony and she is mother to four children and three step children. She attends 12Stone Church and enjoys living a healthy and active life.
Financial Planning Advisor
Paul joined PCA Retirement and Benefits as a Financial Planning Advisor in 2020. He is a teaching elder in the Korean Central Presbytery where he serves on the examination committee. Prior to joining RBI, Paul planted and served as the pastor of Harvest Church of Madison in Wisconsin for twelve years. His pastoral experience also includes five years at Covenant Fellowship Church (Champaign, IL) and seven years at Grace Covenant Church (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). Paul holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, as well as an MDiv and DMin in Missional Theology from Biblical Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Paul serves on the boards of World Hope Chicago and One In Love. He is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) and presently working towards his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. Paul’s primary responsibility is to provide pastors, plan participants, and churches with retirement, investment, insurance, and general financial planning advice and guidance. He also visits presbyteries, churches, schools and seminaries to conduct seminars on financial wellness and retirement readiness and to meet individually with our ministry partners. Paul and his wife, Sojin, have two children. In his free time, Paul enjoys woodworking, golf, and spending time with his family.
Myra is a benefits advisor responsible for retirement plan operations and customer support. Myra spent twelve years with Perimeter Church in various positions but mainly as Administrative Assistant for the Children’s Ministry, and also worked with several large church and parachurch organizations through the years. She studied business administration at Georgia State University. Myra is a member of Restoration Presbyterian Church, Dacula, GA.
Retirement Planning Administrator
Peggy joined RBI in September of 2016 and serves as the Retirement Planning Administrator. Peggy has a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of New Jersey and comes from a background of 12 years of experience as Accounting Coordinator/Executive Assistant at a local non-profit that assisted the Homeless in Gwinnett County with housing needs and case management. She is married to Michael Henry and has two daughters, McKensie and Grace, and two stepdaughters, Madison and Alison. Peggy attends Gwinnett Church and enjoys spending time with her husband and their Great Pyrenees puppy, weekend visits with their daughters, reading, and gardening.
Ingrid joined RBI in November, 2017. She is excited to serve the team and their clients in her position as Benefits Advisor. Ingrid holds a BA in English from Bryan College and comes from a background in marketing and education. She is a member of Restoration Presbyterian Church where she serves on the praise team. She enjoys traveling, her monthly bookclub, and spending time with her four children.
Vice President of Operations
Chet is RBI’s Vice President of Operations serving on the Executive Leadership Team and responsible for Business Operations and Benefits Services. Chet joined RBI in 2003 after working as an internal auditor in the banking industry and as an internal auditor, finance manager, and marketing manager in the telecommunications industry. Chet is a Certified Internal Auditor, has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Economics from The University of Alabama and a Master of Business Administration from Samford University. Chet sings in his church’s choir along with his wife Eleanor (who also works for a PCA ministry) and is a ruling elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church serving in several capacities there as well.
Vice President of People & Culture
Rev. Jon Medlock is RBI’s Vice President of People and Culture. His role is to cultivate a robust, healthy, and gospel-inflected organizational culture and communicate it externally. As such he oversees Marketing, Development, RBI’s Retirement Readiness team, and Ministerial Relief (RBI’s effort to seek the health and wellbeing for pastors and their families). Jon is a member of the Northern California Presbytery, where he served as lead pastor for Trinity Presbyterian Church in San Luis Obispo, CA. Prior to pastoring, Jon was an attorney in the litigation group of a corporate and commercial law firm. He holds a B.A. in American Studies from Oglethorpe University, a J.D. from Samford, an M.Div. from Covenant Seminary, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Studies from Trinity International University. He and his wife Laurabeth have 6 kids.
Director of Benefit Services
Mark is the Director of Benefit Services for PCA Retirement & Benefits (RBI) and is responsible for the leadership and oversight of client relationships, vendor management, retirement and insurance plan operations and compliance. He joined RBI in 2003 after more than twelve years in human resource management and consulting. Mark received his BS from Florida State University. Mark is married to his wife, Julie and has four children. Mark also serves as a ruling elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church (PCA).
Customer Service Manager
Bonnie Nowak brings to her position of Customer Service Manager a skill set which has been molded by previous positions in her work career. “As I think back through these positions, I see how each role provided a bit of a stepping stone for my work here at RBI”. Bonnie provides support for those requesting assistance with adding or updating insurance plans, works with monthly and quarterly reports, and assists with data updates through our contacts at SmartBen, our on-line benefits administrator. Bonnie and her husband, Marty, are members of Westminster Presbyterian Church where both sing in the choir. Marty’s profession of Executive Chef provides them a unique opportunity to minister to others through the preparation of food for various events at Westminster.
Vickie came to RBI with a degree in Marketing and Small Business Management and has more than ten years of experience in those fields. As the Relief Administrator she says, “I love ministering to our widows and pastors. My favorite part of my job is talking with the widows/widowers. While I was not a widow when I began at RBI, I became one not long after. The Lord comforted me, so I might comfort those I talk with.” Outside of work she likes to spend her time drawing, painting, taking pictures and spending time with her granddaughter.
Director of Finance
Teresa graduated from Cal State University, Hayward with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She moved to Georgia in 1999, earned her CPA license, and has joined RBI with 22 years of strong for-profit and not-for-profit accounting experience. As RBI’s Director of Finance, Teresa tracks, audits, and analyzes plan activity and serves as accounting liaison for our investment managers, consultants, custodian bankers and record-keeper. She and her daughter are active members of 12Stone Church. Teresa enjoys maintaining a healthy lifestyle and spending time with her family and friends.
Sandie has been a Benefits Advisor in our Insurance department since 2016. From 1989-1998 she was a secretary at the University of Tennessee, Development Office, Knoxville, Tennessee; Department Chair Secretary at Lamar University, Military Science, Beaumont, TX and then Department Chair Secretary in the Psychology Department; College of Business at Augusta State University, Augusta, Georgia. Before working at RBI, whe was a stay-at-home mom. She enjoys working at RBI helping to contribute to RBI’s mission to help pastors and their families. She and her husband, Mike, have two daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, cooking and spending time with friends. She is a member of Restoration Presbyterian Church in Dacula, GA.
Stephanie joined RBI in January 2019 as a staff accountant. She graduated from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Accounting, and earned her CPA license in 2018 while working in public accounting. A member of 12Stone church, Stephanie enjoys exercising, painting, and traveling.
Operations Administrator & Receptionist
Emily joined RBI in November, 2018 and serves as the Operations Administrator & Receptionist. She studied music at Covenant College and loves being involved in the music at her church. Emily has been a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for about 12 years. She enjoys trivia, reading books, watching TV, spending time with her family, and playing with her dogs.
Director of Philanthropy & Marketing
Chris is passionate about connecting individuals and churches with high-yielding Kingdom investments that serve the most vulnerable in a lasting and dignifying manner. Prior to joining RBI, Chris served as the Vice President of Philanthropy at Lifewater International, the oldest Christian water non-profit in North America, leading the communications, marketing, and development of financial resources for Lifewater’s ministry. Before joining Lifewater in 2011, Chris served for eight years in multiple church-planting and humanitarian-aid efforts in Ukraine. Chris is a member at Trinity Presbyterian Church in San Luis Obispo, CA and holds a B.A. in English from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
