Gary is the President of PCA Retirement & Benefits (RBI) and is responsible for its overall management and service to the Presbyterian Church in America. Prior to joining RBI in August of 2006, Gary had retired as President and Chief Investment Officer from Kennedy Capital Management, Inc., an institutional investment manager of small and mid cap equity securities with $3.6 billion under management at the time of his departure. Previously, Gary was the Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for the Commerce Trust Company in St. Louis, MO. Gary is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. He served on the RBI Board for 10 years and is a member of Perimeter Church in Atlanta. Gary is married to Holly and they have three children. Gary enjoys spending time traveling with Holly and playing golf.
Financial Planning Advisor
Don is a Financial Planning Advisor for PCA Retirement & Benefits. He joined RBI in October 2017. Don is a Teaching Elder in the Georgia Foothills Presbytery and has served most recently as Pastor of Resurrection Presbyterian Church in Athens, Georgia. Before Resurrection, Don was an Associate Pastor at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Athens, Georgia. Don is a graduate of Virginia Tech (BS, Computer Science), and Westminster Theological Seminary (MDiv) in Philadelphia. Prior to ordination, Don worked in the software industry holding a variety of positions in product development, IT, product management and sales. Don’s primary responsibility is to provide pastors, plan participants, and churches with retirement, investment, insurance, and general financial planning advice and guidance. He also visits presbyteries, churches, schools and seminaries for individual counseling and product presentations. Don and his wife Jenny attend Resurrection Presbyterian Church in Athens, Georgia, the church they had the privilege to plant in 2010. In his free time, Don enjoys photography, collecting vintage camera lenses, and cycling.
Financial Planning Advisor
Dave is a Financial Planning Advisor for PCA Retirement & Benefits, beginning his service in October, 2011. He is a Teaching Elder in the Gulf Coast Presbytery and has served several congregations. Dave is a graduate of the University of Georgia (BA), Auburn University (MBA), Reformed Theological Seminary (MDIV), a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), and served as a member of the RBI Board of Directors from 2001-2005. Prior to ordination, Dave worked as a Financial Analyst with Mutual of New York (MONY) as a Financial Planner with Ron Blue & Co., and as an Adjunct Instructor at Belhaven College. Dave’s primary responsibility is to provide pastors, plan participants, and churches with retirement, investment, insurance, and general financial planning advice and guidance. He also visits presbyteries, churches, schools and seminaries for individual counseling and product presentations. David and his family worship at Restoration Presbyterian Church.
Heather serves as Office Manager to the senior management at RBI. She has worked in several different industries to obtain 25 years of administrative and operations experience. Heather is married to Tony and she is mother to four children and three step children. She attends 12Stone Church and enjoys living a healthy and active life.
Bob comes to RBI with a broad base of pastoral, counseling and business experience. He served two PCA churches after graduation from Covenant Seminary. As a Teaching Elder, Bob served as a member of the RBI Board of Directors for several years. Serving on the Relief Committee, Bob developed a heart for the needs of families in ministry. Being a pastor, he understands on a personal level the challenges facing those who serve in our churches. Bob was widowed in 2005, has two daughters, and three beautiful grandchildren. Bob and Kathy Bearce were married in 2012 and attend Restoration Presbyterian Church.
Myra is a benefits specialist responsible for retirement plan operations and customer support. Myra spent twelve years with Perimeter Church in various positions but mainly as Administrative Assistant for the Children’s Ministry, and also worked with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries as Administrative Assistant for the US Speaking Team. She studied business administration at Georgia State University. Myra is a member of Restoration Presbyterian Church, Buford, GA.
Janipher joined RBI in November 2018. She graduated from City University of New York with a bachelor’s in Business Administration with concentration in Finance. She moved to Atlanta in 2003 from New York. She has over 12 Years’ experience with profit and nonprofit organizations. She is married and has two children Sahana (12) and Aarav (9). She Enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, and photography. She currently attends 12 Stone Church.
Financial Planning Advisor
Ed is a Financial Planning Advisor for PCA Retirement & Benefits. He joined RBI in March 2015. Ed is a Teaching Elder in the Blue Ridge Presbytery where he planted and served as Pastor of Christ the King Presbyterian Church in Roanoke, VA for nine years. Prior to serving in Roanoke, Ed served as a Campus Minister for Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at the University of Washington for eight years after graduating from Covenant Theological Seminary. Ed is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). His primary responsibility is to provide pastors with retirement, investment, insurance, and general financial planning advice and counsel, as well as to assist all of RBI’s plan participants and churches. He also visits presbyteries, churches, schools and seminaries for individual counseling and product presentation. Ed is married to Stefanie and they have four children. In his free time, Ed enjoys running, swimming, going on dates with Stefanie and hanging out with his family.
Chief Financial Officer
Cindi joined RBI in September 2015 as Chief Financial Officer. A Certified Public Accountant, Cindi’s prior experience includes various Controller and CFO positions with various financial services organizations, including ING (now Voya), Sun Trust Bank, and several securities brokerage firms. Cindi started her career with Coopers & Lybrand and has also worked with Christian Financial Management (now Ron Blue & Co.) and several non-profit ministries. She and her family have lived in Europe and Asia, serving as missionaries and professionals abroad. She and her husband, Mick, are members of Westminster Presbyterian Church and have been married 40 years. They have two married children and three grandchildren. Cindi is an avid reader, especially on biblical topics and has been used by the Lord to teach and disciple in varied ways.
Ministry Partner Services Assistant
Peggy recently joined in September of 2016 and serves as Administrative Assistant on the Ministry Partner Services team. Peggy has a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of New Jersey and comes from a background of 12 years experience as Accounting Coordinator/Executive Assistant at a local non-profit that assisted the Homeless in Gwinnett County with housing needs and case management. She is married to Michael Henry and has two daughters, McKensie and Grace, and two stepdaughters, Madison and Alison. Peggy is a member of 12Stone Church and enjoys spending time with her husband, walking their two dogs, weekend visits with their daughters, family trips with her siblings, and spending time gardening.
Ingrid joined RBI in November, 2017. She is excited to serve the team and their clients in her new position as Retirement Representative. Ingrid holds a BA in English from Bryan College and comes from a background in marketing and education. She is a member of Restoration Presbyterian Church where she serves on the praise team. She enjoys traveling, her monthly bookclub and spending time with her four children.
Chief Operating Officer
Chet is RBI’s Chief Operating Officer, responsible for operations, HR, compliance, employee benefits management and IT. Chet joined RBI in 2003 after working as an internal auditor in the banking industry and as an internal auditor, finance manager, and marketing manager in the telecommunications industry. Chet is a Certified Internal Auditor, has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Economics from The University of Alabama and a Master of Business Administration from Samford University. Chet sings in his church’s choir along with his wife Eleanor (who also works for a PCA ministry) and is a ruling elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Client Services Manager
Mark is RBI’s Client Services Manager and is responsible for staff management, communications and marketing, and relationship development among our ministry partners in the PCA. He joined RBI in 2003 after more than twelve years in human resource management and consulting. Mark received his BS from Florida State University. He is married to Julie Melendez, née Lieuwen, and serves as a ruling elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Bonnie Nowak brings to her position of Benefit Supervisor a skill set which has been molded by previous positions in her work career. “As I think back through these positions, I see how each role provided a bit of a stepping stone for my work here at RBI”. Bonnie provides support for those requesting assistance with adding or updating insurance plans, works with monthly and quarterly reports, and assists with data updates through our contacts at SmartBen, our on-line benefits administrator. Bonnie and her husband, Marty, are members of Westminster Presbyterian Church where both sing in the choir. Marty’s profession of Executive Chef provides them a unique opportunity to minister to others through the preparation of food for various events at Westminster.
Vickie comes to RBI with a degree in Marketing and Small Business Management and has more than ten years of experience in those fields. As the Relief Assistant she says, “I love using my administrative, marketing and graphic design skills to serve those who serve the Lord.” Her favorite part of her job is talking with the widows/widowers. “While I was not a widow when I began at RBI, the Lord gave me comfort with which He comforted me, so I might comfort those I talk with.” Outside of work she likes to spend her time drawing, painting and taking pictures. Vickie and her late husband Charles have two grown children and one very adorable granddaughter. She is a member of New City Church in Lawrenceville.
Teresa graduated from Cal State University, Hayward with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She moved to Georgia in 1999, earned her CPA license, and has joined RBI with 22 years of strong for-profit and not-for-profit accounting experience. As RBI’s Senior Accountant, Teresa tracks, audits, and analyzes plan activity and serves as accounting liaison for our investment managers, consultants, custodian bankers and record-keeper. She and her daughter are active members of 12Stone Church. Teresa enjoys maintaining a healthy lifestyle and spending time with her family and friends.
When Sandie started at RBI she was the first person you would either speak to or see when contacting RBI, but now she is a Benefits Representative in our Insurance department. From 1989-1998 she was a secretary at the University of Tennessee, Development Office, Knoxville, Tennessee; Department Chair Secretary at Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas first in Military Science then Psychology; Secretary, College of Business at Augusta State University, Augusta, Georgia. She had been a stay-at-home mom since 1998. She enjoys working at RBI helping to contribute to RBI’s mission to help pastors and their families. She has been married to her husband Mike for 27 years and they have two daughters (ages 20 and 17). She enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, cooking and spending time with friends. She is a member of Restoration Presbyterian Church in Buford, GA.
Ministry Partner Services Assistant
Katelyn joined RBI in 2015 and serves as an Administrative Assistant to the Ministry Partner Services team. She is a graduate of Mercer University where she majored in Communication Studies. Prior to joining RBI, she worked at Hodges-Mace,LLC, an employee benefits technology and communications firm. Katelyn is married to Chris “Buck” Rogers, who currently serves as the Interim Senior Pastor and Church Planter in Residence at Restoration Presbyterian Church in Buford. Together they have four children: Eli, Rosie, Sarabelle, and Abigail, who they welcomed into the world in December of 2017. Katelyn is incredibly thankful she gets to serve the Church through the ministry of RBI.
Stephanie joined RBI in January 2019 as a staff accountant. She graduated from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Accounting, and earned her CPA license in 2018 while working in public accounting. A member of 12Stone church, Stephanie enjoys exercising, painting, and traveling.
Emily joined RBI in November, 2018 as the Administrative Assistant. She studied music at Covenant College and loves being involved in the music at her church. Emily has been a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for about 10 years. She enjoys trivia, reading books, watching TV, spending time with her family, and playing with her dog.
