Don is a Financial Planning Advisor for PCA Retirement & Benefits. RBI called Don to be a part of their mission and ministry in 2017. Don is a Teaching Elder in the Georgia Foothills Presbytery and serves as its stated clerk. Before joining RBI, he as Senior Pastor of Resurrection Presbyterian Church in Athens, Georgia and, before that, as Associate Pastor at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Athens, Georgia. Don is a graduate of Virginia Tech (BS, Computer Science), and Westminster Theological Seminary (MDiv) in Philadelphia. Don is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) and presently working towards his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. Prior to ordination, Don worked in the software industry holding a variety of positions in product development, IT, product management and sales. Don’s primary responsibility is to provide pastors, plan participants, and churches with retirement, investment, insurance, and general financial planning advice and guidance. He also visits presbyteries, churches, schools and seminaries to conduct seminars on financial wellness and retirement readiness and to meet individually with our ministry partners. Don and his wife Jenny have 4 adult children and they attend Resurrection Presbyterian Church in Athens, Georgia, the church they had the privilege to plant in 2010. In his free time, Don enjoys photography and watching all things Star Wars and Star Trek.
