Ministerial Relief

The PCA Ministerial Relief Fund was established in 1973 at the first General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America to assist our PCA pastors and their families in time of need through the annual PCA Christmas Offering.

Today, as the PCA has grown, the need for the Ministerial Relief Fund has grown as well. Just as those men who founded the PCA had a vision for the future, RBI sees a future of growing needs of our Pastors and their widows as many reach retirement age. Based on a survey taken in 2011, the Ministerial Relief Fund needs to raise an additional $15 million to meet the projected needs of the widows of our PCA pastors. Without these funds, some of our widows will live out their years in poverty, and disabled pastors will not be able to afford the basic needs of life.

This important ministry of mercy and compassion is funded solely through donations from PCA churches and caring individuals. These gifts demonstrate the love and compassion of our Lord through His people, to those men and women who served sacrificially in our churches for the work of His Kingdom. Your gift will bless many in their time of need.

RBI and CDM share a commitment to see God’s people equipped to serve Him well. We have partnered to provide this resource to enable our church members to enjoy the fruits and benefits of faithful Christian stewardship. May God bless you with the vision to see all that he has given, wisdom to prepare in a way honors Him, and strength to act as His Spirit leads.

SerCreCovCrSmaThe Ministerial Relief of the PCA Retirement and Benefits, Inc. understands the challenges of ministry. We know, from serving our pastors, there are times when pastors and their wives would benefit from Christian counseling. However, for some, solid Christian counseling in a secure environment may not be available or affordable for everyone. For this reason, Ministerial Relief has partnered with Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF) to offer ServantCare, a presbytery resource designed to provide biblical Christian counseling that is convenient, confidential, affordable, and effective.
